Agriculture & Climate Change: Science into Action is a national conference hosted by The Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, with the purpose to address the relationship between agriculture and climate change, focussing particularly on scientific updates and implementation on farms of climate mitigation practice.

Attendees can expect insightful presentations and panel discussions from scientists, policymakers, industry and farmers on the state of climate policy and science in agriculture, updates on the key mitigation research and solutions for the main greenhouse gases, as well as the role of Ireland’s international collaborative initiatives, and public investment in agriculture and climate science.

A provisional agenda and speakers confirmed so far can be viewed on this site. Updates to the final agenda and line up will be published in due course.

In the year that Ireland holds the Chair of the Global Research Alliance for Agricultural Greenhouse Gases, the event will also serve as a platform for sharing innovative solutions, research findings and best practice available for addressing climate action with our partners and collaborators from Europe and around the world.
